Porcelain Bird Ornament 01 with rattle sound

Each bird is made with 8 pieces. The first two pieces make the body. They are individual pieces and fused together. If I think to remember I seal in little bits of porcelain to make the rattle noise. Then the head, beak, feathers, tail and hanger loop are separetly attached to the body. Once the bird is formed then I paint each color on while letting one dry before I put on the next. The reason for this is so the colors do not smudge. All colors are, slip, that is, clay with stain added in the consistency of paint.
Individually hand formed and hand painted one of a kind birds.
